Authentication bypass in Checkmk allows remote attackers to read internal data through directly exposed internal HTTP endpoints. The site Apache configuration applies outdated directives in the wrong order, so local-only filters fail and uncurated X-Forwarded-For input is trusted. Only deployments exposing the site Apache port, typically 5000, are reachable; package installations behind the default reverse proxy are unaffected.
