Authenticated object injection via stored metadata deserialization
Published Jul 27, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
PHP object injection in Wptexture Flipbox Builder 1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject serialized objects. flipbox_builder_Flipbox_ShortCode passes stored flipbox data and settings metadata directly to unserialize() without validating serialized content. Contributor-level access is required, and file deletion, data retrieval, or code execution requires a usable POP chain from another installed plugin or theme.
