Administrator settings reset via missing CSRF checks
Published Aug 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 9, 2024
CSRF in Tips and Tricks HQ WP eStore before 8.5.6 allows attackers to reset plugin settings through an administrator's browser. The wp_eStore_admin page accepts a reset_settings_to_default POST value and restores defaults without validating a CSRF nonce. An administrator must be logged in and open attacker-controlled HTML; successful exploitation discards the store's saved configuration.
