Administrator session compromise via unescaped editproduct parameter
Published Aug 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Reflected XSS in WP eStore before 8.5.6 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via a crafted URL. The product-editing page places the editproduct query parameter into its response without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open the crafted product-editing URL, exposing that privileged WordPress session to attacker-controlled script.
