Negative checkout totals via unchecked item quantity
Published Jun 18, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Business logic validation failure in SPA-Cart 1.9.0.6 allows remote attackers to produce negative checkout totals via a crafted quantity. The cart-add handler accepts a negative amount without rejecting or normalizing it, and the checkout page multiplies that quantity by the item price. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is manipulation of the cart's displayed amount, not confirmed payment or order completion.
