Improper authentication in Canonical MAAS allows remote attackers to execute region RPC commands through a malicious client. The region protocol calls Twisted connectionMade() before completing its handshake, so it accepts AMP commands while the connection remains unauthenticated. Network access to the region RPC service is sufficient; accepted commands can create or fail nodes, alter controller state, or disclose configuration and power data.
