Resource exhaustion in PTC Kepware Server V6 and Software Toolbox TOP Server V6 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to crash the service. The online tag-generation path accepts a ControlLogix device response that drives resource allocation without enforcing limits or throttling. Exposure requires the optional function to be enabled and either a man-in-the-middle position or a misconfigured device; exhaustion crashes the application.
