Stored XSS via unsanitized button image setting
Published Jul 24, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in the WP ULike WordPress plugin before 4.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The Button Image setting accepts untrusted markup without sanitization or output escaping, and the saved value executes when a post renders a like or dislike button. Administrator access is required, unfiltered_html must be disabled, and a visitor must load an affected post; script execution occurs in that visitor's browser.
