Unauthenticated service interruption via malformed PTP packet

Improper input validation in Rockwell Automation 5015-AENFTXT firmware 2.011 allows remote attackers to force an adapter fault via PTP packets. The secondary adapter accepts a manipulated Precision Time Protocol packet without adequate validation and enters a major nonrecoverable fault. Network access to the adapter is sufficient, and service remains interrupted until the device is power-cycled.
