Authenticated arbitrary file upload via empty extension allowlist
Published Jun 17, 2024 · Updated Sep 3, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in PHPVibe 11.0.46 allows remote authenticated users to store arbitrary files through the Media Upload Page. The /app/uploading/upload-mp3.php handler derives an extension from the supplied filename while its allowed-extension list is empty, so every extension passes and the upload is moved into the media directory. A logged-in account is required; the grounded impact is unauthorized file placement, with no demonstrated code execution.
