CVE-2024-6068

Code execution via malicious DFT file parsing

Published Nov 14, 2024 · Updated Nov 14, 2024

Memory corruption in Rockwell Automation Arena Input Analyzer 16.20.03 and earlier allows local users to execute code via a malicious DFT file. The DFT parser corrupts memory while processing the crafted file, but Rockwell Automation has not disclosed the faulty field or operation. Exploitation requires a legitimate user to open the file, after which attacker-controlled code can run and process memory can be disclosed.
