CVE-2024-6062Public exploit

Local process crash via unchecked SWF sample

Published Jun 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

NULL pointer dereference in MP4Box in GPAC 2.5-DEV-rev228-g11067ea92-master allows local users to crash the process via a crafted SWF file. The swf_svg_add_iso_sample function accepts a null or zero-length SWF sample and passes it into packet handling instead of rejecting the invalid input. A local user able to invoke MP4Box on the crafted file can terminate that MP4Box process; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
