Stored script execution via unneutralized News Feed messages
Published Jun 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Ingenico The Estate Manager 2023 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through News Feed messages. The /emgui/rest/ums/messages endpoint stores the message argument, and the News Feed renders it without neutralizing executable markup. Exploitation requires high-privileged access and a user to view the injected feed item, permitting attacker-supplied script to modify content in that user's browser.
