Stored XSS via unsanitized Allow Domains setting
Published Jul 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Quiz and Survey Master before 9.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript when a quiz is viewed. The contact-form Email field's Allow Domains setting stores an attribute-breaking payload without sanitization or output escaping. Contributor access is sufficient to save the payload, and execution in a privileged viewer's browser can create an unauthorized administrator account.
