Stored XSS via CSRF-submitted settings
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Stored XSS in Scriptonite Music Request Manager 1.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject script through an administrator. The set-music-options handler accepts the counter setting from a cross-origin POST without a CSRF check, sanitization, or output escaping. A logged-in administrator must open attacker-controlled HTML, which silently submits the payload and stores script that executes in the WordPress administrative context.
