Unauthorized user and content duplication via unchecked AJAX
Published Jul 18, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Duplica 0.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to duplicate WordPress users, posts, and pages. The AJAX handlers invoke user and post duplication without verifying the caller's create_users or edit_pages capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the documented consequence is limited to unauthorized creation of duplicate users and content.
