Contrast-setting modification via missing capability checks
Published Aug 29, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Accessibility Helper 0.6.2.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter contrast settings. The save_contrast_variations and save_empty_contrast_variations functions write or delete stored contrast configuration without checking the caller's capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the consequence is limited to changing or removing the site's contrast configuration.
