Path traversal in Lightning AI PyTorch Lightning before 2.3.3 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary files through the /v1/runs API. The plugin server extracts uploaded tar.gz members without confining member paths to the intended directory. The path is reachable only when a LightningApp runs with plugin_server; unauthenticated writes can enable code execution.
