Unquoted service path handling in Hitachi Device Manager before 8.8.7-00 allows local users to execute code with service privileges. The Windows Device Manager Server service stores its executable path without quotation marks, allowing Windows to resolve an attacker-placed executable from a space-delimited path prefix. The vendor rates exploitation as requiring local high privileges; successful execution occurs with the affected service account's authority.
