CVE-2024-5962Network attack vector

Browser script execution via unencoded login parameters

Published May 22, 2025 · Updated May 22, 2025

Reflected XSS in affected WSO2 authentication endpoints allows remote attackers to run JavaScript in a user's browser. The login.jsp portal appends the unencoded t and ut request parameters to loginContextRequestUrl, allowing markup to enter the authentication response. Exploitation requires a user to follow a crafted link; scripts can alter the page, redirect the browser, or read browser data, but cannot read httpOnly session cookies.
