Unauthenticated event settings modification via missing capability check
Published Aug 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in StellarWP GiveWP 3.13.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify event ticket settings. The handle_request function processes unauthenticated event and ticket-type update requests without checking a WordPress capability. The endpoint is exposed only when Events beta is enabled; successful requests alter ticket configuration without granting access to donor data.
