CVE-2024-5917Network attack vector

Internal-resource viewing via WildFire request proxy

Published Nov 14, 2024 · Updated Jan 15, 2025

SSRF in WildFire in PAN-OS 10.1 before 10.1.7 and 10.2 before 10.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to view internal resources. The vendor has not disclosed the specific WildFire handler or the failed destination-validation operation that lets the administrative web interface relay server-side requests. Administrative credentials and management-interface access are required, but no special configuration is needed; the proxy only exposes otherwise unreachable internal resources.
