Improper input validation in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS allows physically proximate attackers to elevate privileges through file-system tampering. Palo Alto Networks has not published the affected component or the invalid input-handling operation that processes altered file-system content. Exploitation requires physical access and high existing privileges to alter the firewall file system, after which the flaw grants higher privileges.
