Authentication bypass in Palo Alto Networks Expedition before 1.2.92 allows remote attackers to take over an administrator account. The web-accessible /OS/startup/restore/restoreAdmin.php script omits authentication and resets the existing administrator password to its default value. Network reachability alone is sufficient; exploitation replaces the administrator credential and exposes imported configuration secrets and device credentials.
