Stored XSS via unescaped Image Grid attributes
Published Jul 30, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.62.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through Image Grid attributes. The Image Grid widget accepts user-controlled HTML attributes without sufficient sanitization, and its default template emits them without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required; the stored payload runs in the browser of anyone viewing the affected page, enabling actions or data access in that viewer's session.
