Administrator-session script execution via stored visitor name
Published Jun 12, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Employee and Visitor Gate Pass Logging System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The log_visitor action in classes/Master.php accepts a name value containing HTML that the Visitors Logs view later renders as active script. Exploitation requires an administrator to open Visitors Logs, where attacker-supplied script runs with that administrator's web-session privileges.
