CVE-2024-5888Network attack vector

Stored XSS via crafted geoprocessing-service link

Published Mar 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 10, 2025

Stored XSS in Esri ArcGIS Server 11.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a crafted stored link. Esri identifies the payload as a link stored through the geoprocessing-service REST interface but has not disclosed the affected handler or faulty output operation. Publisher capabilities are required, and code runs only after another user clicks the link, limiting the consequence to the victim's browser context.
