Administrator-context script execution via unescaped search query
Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Reflected XSS in Ultimate Classified Listings before 1.3 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The uclwp_dashboard shortcode prints the uclwp_search_query URL parameter into dashboard page markup without sanitization or contextual escaping. Exploitation requires a page using the shortcode and a high-privilege user to open a crafted link; the script runs in that user's browser context.
