Unauthenticated PHP file inclusion via path traversal
Published Jul 29, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in WebCodingPlace Ultimate Classified Listings before 1.3 allows remote attackers to access server-side PHP files. The listings handler passes unvalidated ucl_page and layout query parameters into its PHP template-selection path, permitting directory traversal. No authentication is required, but a listings page containing the uclwp_listings shortcode must be reachable; the demonstrated consequence is inclusion of a chosen PHP file, not arbitrary non-PHP file reads.
