CVE-2024-5866Network attack vector

Authenticated directory listing via unrestricted API paths

Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Path traversal in Delinea Privileged Access Service 21.3 allows remote authenticated users to list directories outside the web root. An API endpoint fails to restrict directory-listing paths to the web application's root, so traversal sequences resolve outside the intended directory. Any authorized user with network access can obtain filenames and other directory metadata, but arbitrary file contents are not exposed by this flaw alone.
