Authenticated file read via API path traversal
Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Path traversal in Delinea Privileged Access Service 21.3 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files through its API. An API file-download endpoint fails to restrict requested paths to the web publish directory, allowing traversal outside that directory. Any authorized network user can retrieve local database contents or stored-credential encryption keys.
