Subscriber-level settings reset via missing capability check
Published Jun 28, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Easy Affiliate Links 3.7.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reset plugin settings. The eafl_reset_settings AJAX action processes a settings-reset request without verifying that the caller has the capability required to use the tools page. Subscriber-level WordPress access is sufficient, and exploitation overwrites the plugin configuration without exposing data or interrupting the site.
