Server crash via invalid built-in function call
Published Jul 18, 2026 · Updated Jul 18, 2026
Uncaught exception in SurrealDB before 1.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to crash the server via a pre-parsed query. The query executor panics instead of returning an error when it resolves a call to a nonexistent built-in function. Query authorization and the ability to submit a pre-parsed query are required; exploitation terminates the server process without disclosing or modifying data.
