Repository takeover via untrusted workflow code execution

Published Jul 23, 2026 · Updated Jul 23, 2026

Command injection in the Cal.com Cal.diy repository allows remote authenticated users to take over the repository through a crafted pull request. The pr.yml pull_request_target workflow passes a write-scoped token to check-types.yml, which checks out fork code and executes its yarn scripts. Any GitHub user able to open a pull request can run commands that push commits, merge changes, alter comments, or delete and force-push branches.
