CVE-2024-58335Network attack vector

Data disclosure via external XML entity resolution

Published Dec 24, 2025 · Updated Dec 24, 2025

XXE in Dr. Jan C. Thiele OpenXRechnungToolbox through 2024-10-05-3.0.0 allows attackers to disclose data through a crafted e-invoice. VisualizerImpl.java creates a namespace-aware DocumentBuilderFactory for a second XSLT transformation without disallowing DOCTYPE declarations, so untrusted XML can resolve external entities. Processing a malicious invoice through the local GUI or CLI is required, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to data accessible through entity resolution.
