Unauthenticated command execution via installation detection input
Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025
OS command injection in Hikvision CSMP iSecure Center through 2024-08-01 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The unauthenticated /center/api/installation/detection endpoint passes a machines.id JSON value containing $(...) to a shell without neutralizing command substitution. Network access and a crafted JSON request are sufficient; resulting commands run with the platform service's privileges.
