Sensitive-data disclosure via incomplete audit-log redaction
Published Oct 29, 2025 · Updated Oct 29, 2025
Information exposure in SUSE Rancher 2.9.0 through 2.12.2 allows remote authenticated users to read secrets from audit logs. Audit middleware fails to redact last-applied-configuration annotations from response bodies and cluster import URLs from Referer headers. Exploitation requires access to Rancher audit-log storage; exposed registration tokens remain usable for downstream-cluster access until revoked.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
