SAML token theft via attacker-controlled login URL
Published Oct 2, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Authentication token theft in SUSE Rancher allows remote authenticated users to hijack SAML user sessions through a crafted login URL. The CLI SAML protocol accepts attacker-chosen publicKey and requestId values, causing the dashboard to encrypt the victim's Rancher token to the attacker's key. Exploitation requires SAML authentication and a user to follow the phishing link and authenticate; deployments without SAML are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
