File-preview interruption via vector-image stack overflow
Published Jul 7, 2025 · Updated Jul 7, 2025
Stack overflow in HarmonyOS 5.0.1 and 5.1.0 allows local users to interrupt file preview by previewing a vector image. The vector-image parser exhausts the call stack while generating a file preview, but Huawei has not disclosed the parser locus or triggering image structure. Local access to initiate preview is required, and the documented consequence is limited to interruption of the preview function.
