Local code execution via agent security bypass

Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Code execution in Apex One before 14.0.0.13122 and Apex One as a Service before 14.0.13260 allows local users to bypass agent security. The flaw resides in the Security Agent Plug-in User Interface Manager, but Trend Micro has not published the exact wrong operation or input. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution on the Windows endpoint and user interaction, after which attacker-controlled code runs on the installation.
