CVE-2024-58101Public exploit

Audio takeover via automatic Bluetooth pairing

Published May 14, 2025 · Updated May 15, 2025

Missing authorization in Samsung Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds 2 allows physically proximate attackers to control audio via Bluetooth pairing. The devices remain pairable by default, accept legacy pairing without user interaction, and expose audio functions to devices within signal range. When the earbuds are outside their charging case and available for a new connection, physically proximate attackers can replay audio or record microphone input without consent or notification.
