System interruption via NULL encoder state dereference

NULL-pointer dereference in the i915 driver in Linux kernel 6.12 through 6.13.1 allows local users to interrupt the system. The encoder disable and post-disable hooks derive intel_display from the atomic state even though intel_sanitize_encoder() invokes them with a NULL state pointer. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and an affected i915 display path; the reported consequence is a kernel oops without data disclosure or modification.
