Local service interruption via speculative array indexing

Speculative execution in Linux kernel 6.13 through 6.13.1 allows local users to interrupt service through io_uring registered waits. The io_uring/io_uring.c registered-wait path uses a user-supplied offset to index a pre-mapped kernel region without constraining speculative execution to the valid io_uring_reg_wait range. Low-privileged local access and ENTER_EXT_ARG_REG are required; the published record does not identify the interruption as a crash, hang, or reboot.
