Contributor-level stored XSS via unsanitized popup content
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Stored XSS in CreativeMinds CM Pop-Up before 1.7.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through popup content. The campaign Content Input field accepts attacker-controlled HTML in Text mode without adequate sanitization or output escaping and stores it for later rendering. Contributor access is sufficient, and the stored script runs in a visitor's browser when any page configured to display the campaign is opened or the campaign is previewed.
