Data corruption via incomplete failed-writeback cleanup

Incomplete cleanup in Linux Btrfs allows local users to corrupt file data and interrupt service through buffered writeback. After cow_file_range() partially reserves an extent and returns ENOSPC, its error path clears delalloc state but leaves covered folios dirty without an ordered extent. A low-privileged local account needs write access to a Btrfs filesystem; subsequent writeback can bypass tracked ordering, wedge inode access, or panic the host.
