CVE-2024-57971Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Administrator-level code execution via unrestricted JNDI names

Published Feb 16, 2025 · Updated Mar 21, 2025

JNDI injection in Knowage Server before 8.1.30 allows remote authenticated users with Administrator access to execute code. The SpagoBI API's DataSourceResource postDataSource and putDataSource paths accept a JNDI name without requiring the java:comp/env/jdbc/ prefix, allowing resolution of an attacker-controlled LDAP reference. Administrator access and a crafted datasource test are required; successful exploitation executes commands in the server process and can read server files.
