CVE-2024-57969Network attack vector

Authenticated attribute disclosure via skipped ACL filtering

Published Feb 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 14, 2025

Incorrect authorization in MISP before 2.4.198 allows remote authenticated users to view attributes barred by ACLs through GUI searches. Attribute::restSearch always passed true to buildFilterConditions when the GUI requested query parameters, so the generated conditions omitted the required access restrictions; the patch derives that argument from paramsOnly. A logged-in user with attribute-search access can retrieve threat-intelligence attributes from events that the account is not authorized to view, without altering those records.
