CVE-2024-57964

Code execution via uncontrolled DLL search path

Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Feb 18, 2025

Uncontrolled DLL loading in Hitachi HVAC Energy Savings Program allows local users to disclose information or execute arbitrary code. Hitachi identifies an uncontrolled DLL search path but does not disclose the affected executable, library name, or searched directory. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and user interaction, such as opening a malicious file; successful loading runs attacker-supplied code in the program's context.
