Feature disruption via display use-after-free
Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
Use-after-free in Huawei HarmonyOS 4.0.0, 4.2.0, 4.3.0, and 5.0.0 and EMUI 14.0.0 allows local users to disrupt features. The display module accesses memory after it has been freed, but Huawei has not disclosed the affected object, code path, or triggering input. Low-privilege local access is required, and successful exploitation can cause device features to operate abnormally without a reported confidentiality impact.
