Resource exhaustion in GitHub Enterprise Server allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through crafted Git read requests. The Git server accepts an unbounded count of have and want lines during Git read negotiation, allowing a large payload to consume resources without limit. Repository read access is required; successful exploitation exhausts instance resources without reading or altering repository data.
